Binh Dinh to set up Covid-19 quarantine facility

The local authorities planned to establish a quarantine facility in Tay Son district to contain Covid-19 threat.

The facility, controlled by Binh Dinh People’s Committee, will be used to isolate those who come from or transit in China’s Hubei province withint 14 days after their entry into Vietnam. It is also applied for all people who come from in China for 14 days upon their entry into Vietnam and must be under home quarantine but do not follow the requirements.

Binh Dinh’s Chairman Ho Quoc Dung (second from left) is inspecting the facilities and quarantine procedures at Phu Cat airport.

The campaigh to fight against the Covid-19 threat is also being carried out at Phu Cat airport and Quy Nhon seaport, as all passengers are required to fill in the health declaration form and go through a quanrantine process upon arriving in the province.

The Health Department will also monitor and decide to isolate any suspected cases reported in the community.

People who have suspected symptoms will be classified at medical clinics for further treatment.

According to Director of the Department Le Quang Hung, it is important for the local clinics to upgrade their capacity because Covid-19 infected patients will be treated at the province instead of transferring to Hue Central Hospital.

All hospitals and medical centres in Binh Dinh are now capable of diagnosing and treating suspected cases. Besides, there will be another makeshift camp which is ready for the worst scenario.

The local fund budget has also been allocated to provide enough medical material and equipment for all facilities.

“All relevant bodies and plans have been activated to be ready to fight against the threat anytime,” Hung stressed.
