WB-funded bridges put in use, more to be finished

Funded by the World Bank through the Local Road Assets Management Project (LRAMP), six bridges have just put in use in the central province of Binh Dinh whilst 16 bridges are being built.

One of WB-funded bridges was put in use at O2 village of Vinh Kim commune, Vinh Thanh district.

Since the project was lauched 2 years ago, the bridges was built in far and remote areas of the province, where ethnic minority people lives.

According to Vice Director of Binh Dinh’s Department of Transport Tran Thanh Dung, LRAMP plays an important role in facilitating infrastructure in poor areas, helping disadvantaged household to increase their income.

The third component of the project, including the construction of 16 bridges, is expected to finish by the rainy season this year, according to Nguyen Thanh Binh, an official of the department.
