Two Thailand’s companies expressed their interest in supporting projects for the Nhon Hoi oil refinery complex (Victory project).

The Vietnam-Thailand joint venture, KST Energy Development Joint Venture Co Ltd, and Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Public Company Limited on Thursday had a meeting with local bodies to promote the supporting projects.

The Victory project, which is now under consideration by relevant ministries, is expected to require a high demand for power, water supplies and waste treatment.

It will be able to attract more supporting projects when being implemented.

Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL, which had invested in some countries, is Thailand’s leading company in energy sector. Its main shareholder is Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT).

PTT Plc., the project’s investor, will hold a 40% stake in the complex, the Vietnamese government 20% and other partners 40%, according to its feasibility proposal. -
