More opportunities for exporters to penetrate EU market

A meeting co-organized by Binh Dinh Industry and Trade Department and Da Nang-based Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) took place in Quy Nhon City yesterday, presenting key contents of Europe and Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).

At the seminar

Representatives of local bodies and 120 businessmen also had a chance to know solutions and methods to penetrate the EU market via online platforms.

Binh Dinh now sees more than 350 exporters. The province’s export turnover estimated to reach over US$799 million in the first 9 months of this year, a rise of 18.8 percent against the same period last year. All products exported to EU belong to categories that will be opened for Vietnam, including textile, footwear, timber, granite, rice and aquaculture products.

However, according Deputy Director of Binh Dinh Industry and Trade Department Tran Anh Tuyet, more opportunities also mean more challenges, as exporters must know rules for competition and development.
