Two level 2 fishing ports announced

Binh Dinh’s Vice Chairman Tran Chau yesterday signed decisions, announcing the opening of two level 2 fishing ports in the province.

Vessels are anchoring at Quy Nhon fishing port.

These include Quy Nhon fishing port located at Ham Tu bridge in Quy Nhon, which is capable of handling 40,000 tons of goods per year, receiving ships with the length of up to 40 metres, and offering fishery logistics services.

The second one is De Gi fishing port, which is located at An Quang Dong hamlet of Phu Cat district. This port is able to receive 24-metre-vessels, handle 20,000 tons of goods per year and provide logistics services.

The announcement is done in accordance with the Law on Fisheries, allowing the ports to verify the origin of aquacultural products and prevent the IUU fishing.
