Awakening local potential for growth

As a member of the central key economic region, including Da Nang City and provinces of Thua Thien – Hue, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai), Binh Dinh has taken its advantages and potential to improve the business environment to become an attractive destination for investors.

Binh Dinh is expected to make a breakthrough with the recent adjustment of Nhon Hoi Economic Zone's planning.

The province’s infrastructure has been upgraded, smoothly connecting with other localities in the region. The local authorities are also focusing on other key projects, such as the national highway No.19, the Phu Cat – Nhon Hoi EZ route and Cat Tien – De Gi route.

With a new terminal, the Phu Cat airport is expected to serve international flights in the coming months; meanwhile, Quy Nhon Port is seen as an important gateway for the whole central and Central Highlands regions.

The province’s administrative procedures have undergone massive changes recently, aiming to lure more and more projects. Thanks to the tourism development, Binh Dinh is now a “hot” destination for real estate projects, particularly coastal resorts.

Last year, the number of tourists coming to Binh Dinh dramatically increased to 4 million from 3.7 million in 2017. During the first 7 months of 2019, the province has welcomed about 3.2 million visitors.

However, according to the province’s Chairman Ho Quoc Dung, the positive signs could not be seen as the sustainable growth, as the investment attraction has still faced many difficulties, particularly FDI projects.

With the new adjustment of Nhon Hoi EZ, Binh Dinh will be provided more advantages for further development in the future. “We will continue boosting the administrative procedure, improving the environment and incentive policies,” said Binh Dinh’s Vice Chairman Nguyen Phi Long.
