FLC plans to add VND600 bln investment in Bamboo Airways

The FLC Group has said it has a plan to add another VND600 bln to Bamboo Airways, aiming to increase its chartered capital from VND700 bln to VND 1,300 bln.

The move was followed by the Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung’s decision on approving to the Bamboo Airways investment project at Phu Cat airport, Binh Dinh province.

The project, which has a total investment capital of VND700 bln, will be implemented in the period 2019 - 2023 and is licensed for a period of 50 years from July 9.

The Bamboo Airlines, a subsidiary of FLC Group as project owner, is expected to own 10 A320/A321 or B737 aircraft by 2030.

Bamboo Airways official fanpage has also announced its first scheduled flight on October 10.

FLC Group and Bamboo Airways previously signed two agreements to buy 24 A321 NEO aircrafts of Airbus and 20 Boeing B787-9 Dreamliner aircrafts of Boeing.
