New terminal opens at Phu Cat Airport

Vietnam Airlines, the national flag carrier of Vietnam, has officially moved its operation to a new terminal T1 at Phu Cat Airport since May 3.

The airline’s first flight, carrying 120 passengers, departed from the new terminal to Hanoi yesterday.

The new terminal has total eight check-in counters and a 300 square-metre departure lounge for VIP passengers, which is able to accommodate  80 golden lotus and business-class passengers.

The terminal was built on an area of 8,100 square metres, tripling in size of the old one. It is expected to help improve four-star services and products of the national flag carrier.
