Binh Dinh holds disaster recovery training course

The Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control in cooperation of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Binh Dinh provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development held a training course on evaluation of post-disaster recovery.

In the five days of  the training course, over 50 trainees, who are agriculture employees from 14 provinces in the central region of Vietnam, will be introduced to disaster response and recovery tools for vulnerable populations, post-disaster recovery needs assessment methodologies.

Participants are expected to carry out a field experiment in Tuy Phuoc and Phu Cat districts to assess the vulnerability of natural disaster for women, poor and near-poor households, and develop a disaster recovery plan.
