Vietnam Tourism Foundation Day marked in Quy Nhon

An event held by Binh Dinh Tourism Department at Ky Co yesterday (July 7), marking the 60th founding anniversary of Vietnam Tourism Industry.

In the central province of Binh Dinh, the tourism sector has now become a key factor contributing to the local socio-economic development.

While the pandemic Covid-19 severely affected the industry in the first six months this year, the prospect has seen positive signs since last month. The function bodies are now focusing on many solutions to lure more tourists, continuing to promote Quy Nhon with the title “ASEAN Clean Tourist City”.

Binh Dinh’s tourism sector also set the target of welcoming more than 8 million visitors by 2025, accounting for 10 percent of GRDP.

Speaking the ceremony, Binh Dinh’s Vice Chairman Nguyen Tuan Thanh hailed its achievements, which made the province become one of the most popular destinations in Vietnam.
