The province is striving to become a safe, friendly and attractive destination in Vietnam. According to the figure released by the Tourism Department, Binh Dinh welcomed more than 3.7 million tourists in 2017 and over 4.8 million last year.

The accommodation services have also seen a great change, with 320 hotels. Meanwhile, 14 of 53 tourism projects have been completed.

Despite the impacts of the pandemic Covid-19, Binh Dinh is one of a few destinations seeing a quick recover in this industry. The rate of flights departing from and arriving in Phu Cat airport in June increased by 2.5 times in comparison with last month.

Many promotion campaigns were launched in the past years. The tourism information about Binh Dinh were advertised on Vietjet Air’s One to Fly magazine, Vietnam Traveller, and Bamboo Airways’ Look magazine. The relevant bodies also coordinated with Vietnam Television Station to produce the “Amazing Cuisine” programme, which was broadcast on VTV3 channel, according to the Tourism Promotion Center’s director Huynh Thi Kim Binh.

“The tourism revenue accounted for 16.7 percent of the province’s GRDP in 2018,” said the head of Binh Dinh Statistics Department Nguyen Thi My. “Last year’s figure is 17.99 percent”.
