Binh Dinh’s tourism takes advantages of difficulties amid Covid-19 risk

Temporarily offering a discount, re-adjusting services and diversifying markets are among solutions agreed at the meeting held by Binh Dinh’s Tourism Association in Quy Nhon City on February 24.

Good weather and beautiful beaches are favourable conditions to lure tourists to Binh Dinh

According to the association’s Chairman Nguyen Hoang Vu, the participants agreed three key issues, including the alliance for tourism stimulus, agreement on packages for the target groups and package promotion.

The association would connect its members and negotiate with other agencies, tour operators and hotels to ensure the best deals for customers, Vu said.

All local tour agencies must be share the resources to serve visitors for the mutual benefits instead of competing against each other, the association’s Vice Chairman Nguyen Pham Kien Trung said.

Hoang Thu Sen, Director of Vietravel’s office in Quy Nhon, said that services should be prepared for individual visitors, who are accounting for the majority at present.

At the meeting, Binh Dinh’s Department of Tourism Director Nguyen Van Dung made all participants surprised when saying this is a good opportunity for the province, as Binh Dinh is considered as a safe destination amid the Covid-19 outbreak.

“We need to take advantages of difficulties to promote Binh Dinh as a friendly and safe site for all,” Dung said. “We also see this as a chance to filter customers”.
