Tourism promotion alliance formed amid Covid-19 outbreak

Binh Dinh and three provinces of Phu Yen, Gia Lai and Dak Lak launched a joint tourism promotion programme to lure tourists amid the Covid-19 epidemic.

The representatives of four provinces are signing the statement to launch the shared tourism promotion programme.

The Vietnam Tourism Association (VTA) on Feb 21 organized a ceremony in Hanoi to announce a tourism stimulus programme.

The ceremony featured the participation of 250 delegates including businesses and local tourism associations.

According to Binh Dinh Department of Tourism’s director Nguyen Van Dung, these provinces were selected as safe destinations for those who are afraid of the Covid-19 spread.

The local tourism sector will commit the same quality for all services at a discount, Dung stressed.

Binh Dinh Tourism Association’s representative Nguyen Hoang Vu said that it would take this chance to promote the local destinations.

At the ceremony, the VTA also announce the Safe Travel Criteria for Covid-19 epidemic.

This time’s programme is expected to help stimulate tourists’ demand and encourage them to visit disease-free localities.
