Upcoming int’l martial arts festival expected to be attractive

Learning experiences in the past, Binh Dinh province’s authorities have prepared for this year’s international festival of Vietnamese traditional martial arts since February, promising a very successful event.

Masters and practitioners of the Russia – based Tinh Vo Dao school and Long Phuoc pagoda’s martial arts are taking a photo together at the 6th international festival of Vietnamese traditional martial arts in 2016.

More than 1,000 martial arts masters and practitioners have registered to participate in the event so far, according to the latest data.

Vietnam’s Federation of Traditional Martial Arts and World Federation of Vietnamese traditional martial arts also supported the festival, said Grand master Bui Trung Hieu.

According to deputy head of the organizing board Ta Xuan Chanh, more programmes are scheduled to take place than previous events, as this year’s festival is expected to become an unforgettable experience for the participants. 

Among foreign martial arts troupes joining the event, the France-based Son Long Quyen Thuat school, which led by Master Oliver Barbey, will bring about 100 practitioners to Binh Dinh to compete against others.

Meanwhile, this will surely be the 7th consecutive year the Russia-based Tinh Vo Dao school will join the festival, as its Chairman Valery Ryabova said his practitioners learned a lot in the previous events.
