Nuoc Man festival recommended as national intangible cultural heritage

Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee has asked the Department of Culture and Sport to study the recommendation of submitting documents for recognizing the Nuoc Man festival as a national intangible cultural heritage.

Being one of the oldest and biggest festivals in Binh Dinh, the festival is held at the Bà (Lady) Temple in An Hoa, once a famous commercial port. The temple was built to worship the Queen of Nature, a god that protects the trade ships sent on the ocean.
