Local residents urged to be on high alert over Covid-19

Binh Dinh People’s Committee asked local people and organisations to stricly follow requirements, aiming to prevent the risk of Covid-19 pandemic in the province.

People are wearing facemasks when visiting a Quy Nhon-based supermarket.

Under the instruction, all relevant bodies and people must be on high alert in the next two weeks, when the outbreak is forecasted to reach the peak.

People must wear facemasks in public spaces and limit unnecessary gatherings. Anyone or organisations, which violate the regulations, will be severely fined, the local committee warned.

Those who are in charge of companies and organisations must ask their employees to follow the prevention measures.

Supermarkets and distributors are required to store goods and essensial products, in case the pandemic may last longer.

The Health Department was asked to prepare for all available scenanios, ensure enough staff and equipment for the prevention and control of the pandemic.

Relevant bodies will promote campaigns to boost the local people’s awareness of the Covid-19 outbreak in Vietnam and encourage them to voluntarily declare their health via health applications.

The provincial People’s Committee particularly urged the residents to be on high alert, but they must believe in the authorities’ efforts to contain the pandemic.
